Enrichment Opportunities Elementary and Middle School

Outdoor Education - Students in grades 1 through 4 experience outdoor education each Spring.  Activities include science and wildlife exploration, archery, zip-lining, and water activities. 

St. Agnes Academy 6th-8th grade Debate Competition - Our debate team participates each year in the St. Agnes middle school debate tournament along with Catholic middle school students. The MLS team made it into the finals in 2015 and 2016. 

Academic Quest - Academic Quest is an annual middle school completion hosted by Lutheran High North where Lutheran and other private schools meet for a day of academic fun. Sixth though eighth grade students participate in various grade-specific and open events. 

Bible Bowl - Students participate in a Bible-knowledge team competition with other Lutheran schools in the Houston area for grades 5-8 

National Junior Honor Society - National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is open to middle school students who qualify academically and who also exhibit dedication and positive leadership. For information on NJHS visit their website.

Art Lessons - Students in elementary levels have the opportunity to work with the art teacher after school, and will complete several art projects. There is an additional cost for this class.

Piano/Violin Lessons - Private lessons are available in piano and strings (these classes fill in early fall). There is an additional cost for these private lessons, and is paid directly to the music instructor, Children in Pre-K and higher are eligible to sign up for lessons.

Middle School Trips -  Educational trips include Washington D.C., San Antonio, Austin, and Dallas.  Texas History trips are taken once per quarter. 
Elementary Field Trips - Trips taken throughout the school year include visits to the pumpkin and Christmas tree farms, to see plays and musicals, and to visit museums.
