MEMORIAL MUSTANGS ATHLETICS

MLS ensures that each student athlete reaches his or her maximum potential. It is our mission to develop the whole student, not just the athlete, in mind, body, and spirit, in a Christian education. Our focus is to foster skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork, character, and leadership.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION CURRICULUM

In Physical Education, we strive to provide opportunities for children from preschool to 11th grade to learn about physical fitness through exercise and physical activity.

Physical Education is an integral part of our classical education. Each student will be provided with opportunities to develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary to lead a physically active lifestyle. Our curriculum strives to promote an active and healthy lifestyle, motor skill development, and improved cognitive performance through exercise, a variety of physical activities, and sports.

5TH THROUGH 8TH GRADE SPORTS

Students are welcome to participate in our J.V. (5th and 6th) and Varsity (7th and 8th). MLS participates in the Houston Lutheran Athletic Conference (HLAC) and competes with other Lutheran schools in the Houston area.

9TH THROUGH 12TH GRADE SPORTS

Memorial participates in the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) which is committed to building leadership, fellowship, fair play, and sportsmanship of students enrolled in the areas of academics, athletics, and fine arts for young men and women.
